Writing evidence for Open Badge applications
(073-407-123)

The first thing I have learned is the open badge passport and how you can store your badge all in one place. The will be a link to your evidence and the certificate with a code they can scan to find the evidence. I like this as I like to be able to find all my work in one place instead of different places on a website. The second thing is making sure you have enough evidence for your badge. This will help me make sure my badges are sent away correctly, to be able to achieve my badge first time when I include the correct amount of information. Also I will now know not to put in irrelevant information only information that is needed for the badge. The third thing that’s important for me to know is not to rush to do these badges, take your time and spread out your learning. This will help me remember more of the information I need to know rather than it being rushed this is important as I will gain more knowledge about the badge and what they include. I have discussed with my manager about how and when I have done as badge so they are up to date with my badges. I will also record this in my CPD file to show my manager. I have also learnt not to write in third person. This will help me achieve my edge first time round. I will tell my colleagues to make sure they out enough information in to the evidence box to make sure they achieve the badge without getting it sent back to them.
