Option 1: You recognise this needs to be investigated so you ask Amy to investigate this as she is Isobel’s key worker and knows her well.
Option 2: You immediately begin your own investigation and report this to the Care Inspectorate and your own manager. You co-operate fully with the Adult Support and Protection process.
Option 3: You review the records and note that your workers were respecting Isobel’s choice not to have personal care. She has capacity to make her own decisions. You are satisfied that staff have been following the SSSC Code of Practice for Social Service Workers Sections 1 and 3.
