  Gain further understanding of dementia from a psychological perspective and of the potential influence of health and lifestyle choices on psychological function. Importantly, learn to recognise how changes in psychological function can impact on the lived experience of a person with dementia.

  Develop a deeper insight into the most common dementias, as well as knowledge of assessment and ways to engage sensitively with a person who has dementia.

The SCIE Dementia Gateway provides lots of practical tips, tools and activities that will help you with your daily work. Produced by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation in partnership with the University of Edinburgh. This resource needs to be purchased, although you can view an extract from the DVD for free.
