Risk assessment
You decided that you will write the court report. When completing the risk assessment you do not have time to gather all the information, including health and substance use so you complete it as much as you can with the aim of going back later to finish it.
When John appears in court he receives a fine so there is no further requirement for him to be involved with social work.

Option 1: As the case has been dealt with by the court you decide there is no need to update the risk assessment.
Option 2: You immediately complete the risk assessment with the remaining information and discuss this with you manager.
Option 3: As the case is now concluded, you feel that there is no urgency and will finish the risk assessment when you have time.
