You have decided that as Mary assures you she has no convictions, you allow her to start and buddy her up with a colleague. You tell Mary that she must not work unsupervised until you receive a copy of her PVG record.

The following week, Mary’s PVG scheme record has still not arrived. You get a telephone call from your line manager who is based at the main office. Listen to the telephone message and decide what you should do next. Please choose one of the three options below.

Option 1: You leave the PVG folder until last hoping that the manager will be happy with the other paperwork and accept your assurance that all the PVG checks are fine.
