Pharmacy labels will have the following information on the outside of the packaging.

• name of supplying pharmacy or dispensing GP practice
• name of person medication is prescribed for
• quantity
• dosage
• instructions
• cautionary and advisory labels

Every medication will have a patient information leaflet which will contain the following information:

• name of medication – Brand (Nurofen) and Generic (Ibuprofen)
• why the medication is being taken
• what to check before taking
• how to take the medication
• possible side effects
• how to store
• further information.
