Retiral of Observing Children Open Badges

We have retired our previous series of Open Badges for the Observing Children learning resource. These badges are no longer open for new applications. However, you can still receive recognition for your learning about observation through our CPL+ Open Badge programme.

How to get recognition for your observing children Learning

  1. Complete all scenarios relevant to your role in the Observing Children resource.
  2. Familiarise yourself with at least one recommended resource from each scenario.
  3. Enroll in our CPL+ Open Badge programme by achieving the CPL+ participant badge.
  4. If you've already completed steps 1-3, you can apply for this month's CPL+ badge to receive recognition for your learning

The CPL+ Open Badges offer a more flexible approach, allowing you to get recognition for a wide range of learning activities, including your work with the Observing Children resource.

Note for existing badge holders

If you have previously earned Observing Children badges, you will continue to hold these as long as you maintain an active SSSC MyLearning account.

We encourage all learners to explore the CPL+ Open Badge programme as it provides ongoing recognition for your professional development across various areas of practice.
