The Criminal Justice Social Work Development Centre for Scotland
CJSW is responsible on behalf of Scottish Courts for supervising those offenders aged 16 and over who have been subject to a community disposal. In addition CJSW provide reports to courts to assist with sentencing decisions. CJSW services also provide statutory supervision (throughcare) for certain offenders on release from prison.
