You decided to do nothing as you feel that it was only a joke. A few days later, while Jim is hanging a picture, Jim makes a remark as a ‘joke’ directed towards the young person about their gender. The young person laughs and appears to find it funny but you feel uncomfortable by the remark

What's your next step?
Option 1: You decide to have a ‘quiet word’ with Jim to say that the remark was not appropriate and ask him not to do it again.
Option 2: You immediately speak to your line manager about the remark made by Jim. At supervision later in the week, you also ask to discuss the incident.
Option 3: You do nothing. The young person did not appear to be bothered and seemed to join in with the joke.
