Course Overview

Learn to create engaging, effective and impactful digital design.

This module will discuss the DIgital Learning Design course as a whole, and introduce you to the aims of the course. You will also be introduced to instructional design theory and the concept of customer-facing learning.

Learn the fundamentals of Learning Design.

Content will cover how people learn, and how to effectively find and evaluate online resources that are at your disposal.

What works? - Applying the evidence base for effective learning.

Learn about situated learning, learning and assessement, learning from the experts, and supporting performance/ workflow learning. Additionally, you will see how to create your own digital learning resources,

Module 3

This module covers how to maximise learning: user experience design.

Covering the basics of user experience design, you will be provided a wealth of knowledge from experts on what user experience is, and how they have used it for their market. You'll then be introduced to how to think like a designer, discover what user-centred design is, how to perform effective user reserach and how to blueprint the user experience.

Learning in a networked world

This module will cover how learning is increasingly being supported by digital connections to individuals, resources and organisations. It'll cover connectivity offered by the worldwide web and discus the different platforms and tools that can help us connect with information and individuals in formal and informal learning.
