5. Compliance status.
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the exceptions below.
6. Non-accessible content
We are working towards making the website fully compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility guidelines. The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
NON-COMPLIANCE WITH ACCESSIBILITY REGULATIONS
- The tab order on some pages is not properly configured. This means that these pages are not fully navigable by people using keyboard only. We will fix this by April 2024.
- Not all of the third-party videos we link to have closed captions. We are exploring alternatives to these videos, and will create text-based alternatives if no other solution can be found. We will complete this work by April 2024.
- Some images are used as buttons and do not contain alt text or link titles. We are working on fixing this and this work will be completed by April 2024.
- Some images do not have alt text. We will ensure all images have alt text by April 2024.
- Some buttons used to navigate the site do not have link titles. We will add link titles to the navigation buttons by April 2024.
- Not all links have link titles. We will ensure that this is fixed by April 2024.
- For some interactive activities, the 'correct' and 'wrong' status of answers is only indicated by colour. This means that people with visual impairments may not be able to perceive difference between correct and wrong answers. We will fix this by April 2024.
- Some interactive activites cannot be completed by keyboard only users. We will adapt these to ensure that keyboard users can access these activities by April 2024.
- The contrast ratio for some text elements against the background colour is not high enough. We will fix this and ensure a contrast ratio of at least 4:5:1 by April 2024.
