Please choose a scenario ...

Each of the four scenarios is based on situations in which workers have had difficulties in choosing the correct actions to take when faced with challenging decisions. They are not based on any single case, however, they contain aspects that have commonly arisen in cases where there have been investigations into the practice and conduct of workers in adult care roles.

You can work through the scenarios in any order and can move back and forward in each scenario, so if you think you have not made the best choice you can go back through the different levels to enable you to choose another option.

At the end of each branch that you go down, you will be asked to write a short reflective account (400 words approx.) to explain why you have made the decisions that you did and to think about the possible outcomes from your decisions. Once you have completed your reflective account, you will be able to open a document that contains the most likely outcome of your decision and aspects that you should have considered in your reflective account. You will be able to make copies of both so that you can review these later.
